Staff very pleasant. Rooms .large and comfortable and a dinner we had there was very good across a range of choices
The breakfasts were very poor. I have never seen such a sorry excuse for bacon or sausage or scrambled eggs for a long time - and this in Ireland the home of the famous Irish breakfast.

The food was great and served in the bar. The room was both airy and normal double for keeping things cool which was an added bonus, we appreciated it.

Excellent! I booked several rooms for family and friends who were visiting Ireland for a family event. All of them were delighted with the hotel and were full of praise for the staff and the facilities. They used the pool and leisure centre and found them to be first rate. I hosted a dinner in the hotel and the meal was excellent and the staff were most attentive and helpful.

Staff were friendly & helpful.
There wasn't any lift so with luggage for 4 adults and a 6mth old baby, getting luggage & buggy etc, up to our rooms required some effort. My parents are in their 70's so my husband had to make several trips up/down the stairs as there was no-one at hand to assist him. Had we realized there wasn't a lift we would have requested a ground floor room for easier access.

Lovely hotel. Staff were excellent, food was amazing. Great place to stay if you want to be out of the city centre. City centre only about 20 minute drive away.

Hotel was convenient, two storey (no high rise), parking right up to front door of hotel, a short walk to reception and bedroom. My stay was very short - late evening arrival and early morning departure. I didn't have time to sample dining room so was impressed to find kettle and tea/coffe making facilities in the room. I would certainly consider staying at Oranmore Lodge hotel again. My only interaction with staff was at Reception and this was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed finding newspaper in the reception area even thought it was late evening when I arrived.
Comment - not a dislike! There is one price for breakfast if ordered the night before and a few euros dearer if ordered next morning. I wasn't staying for breakfast, but maybe this pricing is usual - I just hadn't met it before.

I found the hotel perfect for my purpose - to escape for a few days for some peace & quiet. Very relaxing.
Restaurant food promised much but was average.

We took advantage of the gym and spa, fantastic. Also played golf at Galway Bay Golf Club, enjoying the beautiful views. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere felt really cute. Just be prepared for a few hiccups in the dining experience, but overall, it was a nice trip.

We both loved this hotel and would definetly return and recommend it to anyone. Everything was great from the food, the staff, the swimming pool and the bedroom we stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were all very friendly and we were always served with a smile.
No negatives at all.

My newborn loved splashing around, while I tried out some aerobics classes. The gym was well-equipped.
In my wife's opinion, the car parking needs serious improvement, especially with kids in tow. It was quite a hassle navigating the potholes and rain puddles while carrying luggage.

Friendly staff, readiness to sort out problems((see below), good bar meals at reasonable prices. Rooms clean and spacious. Family-friendly atmosphere, lots of families with young kids at breakfast, obviously enjoying themselves. Good laundry service.
1) A slightly fawlty towers incident - when we opened fridge cupboard in our room the door fell off! However receception very quickly organised a change of room. 2) We had pre-booked for dinner on our first eveningl, but found the restaurant very full leaving us only a table stuck close to the door where the waiters were vitually tripping over us. Service was very slow and if we had known how crowded the restaurant would be, we would have eaten in the bar (as we did the other two nights) or gone out for a meal elsewhere. However the meal itself was excellent and the staff were genuinely apologetic and very friendly

I really like this hotel. I have stayed here before and chose to stay again on this trip. The staff are lovely the atmosphere is old world style and comfort, like staying in someones house!Oranmore is a great little village perfect for exploring the cliffs of Mohair etc.
The hotel is not near the city center, but near the very pretty village of Orranmore.
